Maryam obtained her bachelor's degree in law from Shahid Beheshti University. Following her graduation, she passed the bar exam. While she started the traineeship to become a lawyer, she actively participated in voluntary research initiatives for a non-governmental organization. After working for seven years as an attorney, some intellectual property law cases like trademark and copyright infringement ignited her passion for intellectual property law, leading her to pursue a master's in IP law at Shahid Beheshti University. Currently, for her thesis, she is exploring the impacts of artificial intelligence on the trademark system to evaluate the effect of AI on the purchase process, trademark infringements, changes in common concepts in the trademark system, and the impact of AI on trademark registration and search processes. Also, Maryam is interested in working on intellectual property arbitration because she has taken several advanced arbitration courses held by the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber. She is now a researcher in the OPlaw Lab of the Phanous Research and Innovation Center, where she works on online platforms law.
