Salman Beigi has always been fascinated by the beauty of math and its ability for modeling various phenomena in nature and life. He chose a math major in university and did a Ph.D. in mathematics at MIT in 2009. His Ph.D. was under the supervision of Peter W. Shor on quantum computation, an interdisciplinary subject related to math, physics, and computer science. After continuing his research as a postdoc at Caltech, Salman joined Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) in Tehran in 2011. Later in 2020, he became the lead researcher of the QuOne Lab at Phanous.
Besides math, history and art have also been sources of inspiration for Salman. He has practiced photography, painting, music, and contemporary history as hobbies.
